The Warmth of Ukrainian Bread Conquers the World: TM Rumyanets at the Major International Exhibition SIAL Paris 2026
From 17 to 21 October 2026, Paris once again became the global capital of gastronomy and the food industry. SIAL Paris, one of the world's largest biennial food innovation exhibitions, took place at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre. Leading manufacturers, distributors, restaurateurs, importers, and exporters from all corners of the globe gathered under one roof. For the TM Rumyanets team, being part of this platform was both a great honour and a major responsibility. We firmly believe that high quality Ukrainian products should resonate loudly, and dedication to our craft alongside love for our native traditions deserve worldwide recognition.
This year's exhibition continued its key mission, INSPIRE FOOD BUSINESS, supporting global leaders in shaping the vision for the future of sustainable food. Understanding that the modern world requires not only quality food but also responsible practices, we brought to France not just baked goods, but our finest flavours nurtured over the years and authentic artisanal craftsmanship. Our stand became a genuine island of Ukrainian hospitality, filled with a warm atmosphere of sincere dialogue and openness to fresh ideas.
Rumyanets represented Ukraine as part of a collective pavilion in the Frozen Food sector (Hall 6A, Stand H 006). At the collective stand, Ukrainian manufacturers enter the global market shoulder to shoulder, strengthening one another. It is a shared space, a joint conversation with buyers, and one big story demonstrating that the Ukrainian food industry continues to operate and grow even during wartime. For us, this is especially symbolic, because behind every product we brought to Paris stand people who, despite all challenges, bake bread for Ukrainian families daily.
The Lead Marketer of TM Rumyanets shares:
"This year, SIAL Paris embraced the mission INSPIRE FOOD BUSINESS, and we sought to become part of this global inspiration. Our main goal was to convey a living emotion through our product. We brought the warmth of Ukrainian bread. This is not merely a lovely metaphor; it is what people truly felt when approaching our stand. In an era of globalisation, consumers seek authenticity. They want to see environmental and social challenges integrated into brand strategy. Our message about love for our craft and growing Ukrainian business against all odds resonated wonderfully."
At the stand, we showcased a broad range of our products: signature pastry swirls and mini swirls, filled and plain croissants, grissini, artisan breads, baton loaves, ciabattas, and sandwich baguettes. Guests could chat with our team, pick up catalogues, and taste our baked goods. The tastings served as the best conversation starter. When someone tastes bread that smells of home, the language barrier disappears naturally. What remains is flavour, emotion, and a genuine desire to learn more about the product and its maker.

Behind each of these items stand 23 years of experience from Rumyanets bakers, proprietary recipes refined over decades, and meticulous quality control from the arrival of raw ingredients to the finished product. The selection brought to Paris covers all key market formats. Hearth loaves and baton loaves are designed for daily meals, ciabattas and sandwich rolls are ideal for sandwiches and burgers, croissants serve as a breakfast staple for cafes or hotels, and grissini perfectly complement appetizers and a glass of wine. As a result, we could speak the language of very diverse partners: retail chains, distributors, and HoReCa venues. Meanwhile, our traditional sweet pastry swirls revealed to our guests the authentic taste of Ukrainian home baking traditions.
In an environment where transformation and environmental challenges have become core pillars of corporate strategy, SIAL Paris 2026 became a true business accelerator for us. It was far more than just a venue for presenting favourite bakery products; it was a centre for reflection, inspiration, and knowledge exchange. We discovered the latest market trends, including demand for clean label products with simple ingredients, the steady growth of the frozen bakery segment, and focus on eco friendly packaging. We also held strategic meetings with potential partners. Every visitor to our stand could see firsthand that Ukrainian business is active, working, expanding, and ready to offer cutting edge food products to the world.
Commercial Director Olesya Tkachuk notes:
"For us, participating in such an influential international event is primarily an opportunity to feel the pulse of the global market and strengthen the positions of Ukrainian manufacturers in the European arena. The exhibition proved to be a powerful catalyst for our business. We held meetings with distributors and retailers who are looking not merely for mass market products, but for craft quality, excellence, and reliability. The European market currently places tremendous value on advanced agri food processes and sustainable practices. We had plenty to offer, and our artisanal bakery range sparked considerable interest. We have already entered the stage of detailed partnership negotiations."
For us, SIAL Paris did not end on 21 October. Ahead lies the most crucial part of the work: processing all contacts, preparing commercial proposals, and steering discussions toward concrete agreements. Simultaneously, we are analysing European market requirements regarding product standards, packaging, and accompanying documentation to ensure seamless supply chains. We will certainly share the outcomes.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the organisers of the national pavilion and for the support provided at every stage of preparation. Thank you to our team for their dedicated work at the stand, and to everyone who visited us in Paris, tasted our baked goods, shared these days with us, and offered kind words and trust.
This October, Rumyanets celebrated its 23rd anniversary. We marked the brand's birthday on 16 October, right before the exhibition opened, and we could not have imagined a better gift. For 23 years, we have been baking bread for Ukrainian families, and SIAL Paris served both as a symbolic milestone of this journey and the launch of a new, international chapter. This event proved once again that synergy, shared progress, and dedication to one's craft know no boundaries.
We continue our work, baking top quality Ukrainian products and building strong international bridges. The warmth of Ukrainian bread was warmly received in Paris, and we will do everything to ensure it reaches many more countries across the globe. Let us grow and achieve new successes together!
